The end of March saw Ibara City host its annual Cherry Blossom Festival, where our famous 2km embankment is blessed with a blooming tunnel of blossoms through which you can walk and marvel.
3月末には、井原市で毎年の桜祭りが開催されました。有名な2kmの堤防には、咲き誇る桜のトンネルがあり、その中を歩いて驚くことができます。
Unfortunately, this year, our main attraction has been a little late to the party (at the time of writing, we’re still nowhere near full bloom), so our Cherry Blossom festival was more of a Cherry Buds festival.
残念ながら、今年は桜が咲き遅れたため（この記事を書いている時点ではまだ満開ではない）、桜祭りはどちらかというと「つぼみ祭り」になりました。
Even so, that didn’t stop our International Mini Festival being a great success!
それでも、国際ミニ フェスティバルは大成功でした。
This year, instead of bringing culture to Ibara (usually in the form of delicious treats from around the world), we decided to make the most of technology and take Ibara around the world!
今年は、井原に文化をもたらすのではなく（通常は世界中のおいしい料理の出店で）、最大限のテクノロジーを活用して井原を世界中に連れて行くことにしました。
Using VR Oculus Go headsets, we offered 8 different experiences set in different countries, including Egypt, Australia, America and more. Each experience would last for around 5 minutes and our visitors had the chance to choose from our curated menu and be guided during their experience by our dedicated staff.

VR Oculus Go ヘッドセットを使用して、エジプト、オーストラリア、アメリカなど、さまざまな国を舞台にした8つの体験を提供しました。各体験の時間は約5分で、来場者は厳選されたメニューからお選びいただき、体験中は専任スタッフによるガイドを受けることができました。

We had 50 tickets to give away for the day and we are pleased to announce that all 50 were used – and then some more! It was truly a delight to see people of all ages give this new technology a go!
当日は 50 枚のチケットをプレゼントしましたが、50 枚すべてが使用され、さらに使用されたことをお知らせします。あらゆる年齢層の人々がこの新しいテクノロジーを試してみることができて、本当にうれしかったです。
With the festival being completely free this year, we decided to use spinners to select what visitors could do! With up to 3 spins, you could try your hand at the ring toss, poke your way to a treat at the prize punch, or get something tasty from our gacha gacha machine! All our sweets and prizes were from around the world: British sweets, Spanish gummies, Thai snacks etc, there were many tasty treats!
今年のフェスティバルは完全に無料なので、来場者ができることをルーレットで決めることにしました。最大 3 回のスピンで、輪投げに挑戦したり、プライズパンチでお菓子を手に入れたり、ガチャガチャマシンでおいしいお菓子をゲットしたりできます。お菓子や賞品はすべて外国のお菓子なので、おいしく珍しいお菓子がたくさんありました！
We also had 3 free backdrops of beautiful cherry blossom and Easter backgrounds (so at least in photos you could pretend they had bloomed) and an international panel exhibition which showcased all sorts of activities we had been doing in Ibara, along with some fun quizzes and games!
また、美しい桜とイースターの背景を3つ無料で提供しましたので、少なくとも写真では桜が咲いたふりをすることができます。この一年間の井原で行ってきた活動を紹介する国際パネル展示もあって、いくつかの楽しいクイズやゲームも用意されました！
Even though the festival is now over, we are still waiting for the blossoms to bloom, so when they do (hopefully this weekend 6th-7th April 2024), don’t hesitate to come to Ibara City in Okayama Prefecture to enjoy them!
祭りは終わってしまいましたが、まだまだ開花が待ち遠しいので、開花したら（多分、今週末2024年4月6日～7日かもしれません）、ぜひ岡山県井原市にお花見に来てみてください！
