Ibara may be a small city but it is divided into 3 areas, each with its own characteristic style.

To get the most out of Ibara, we recommend that you visit each one at least once and experience just how different they can be.

Nicknamed "The town of stars", this north-east part of Ibara is certified by IDA and is home to Bisei Observatory.

Bisei Town was originally its own separate entity, until in 2005, along with Yoshii Town, it became a part of Ibara City. The quiet town of just 5000 people is known for its association with space, and the stars.

The north-west part of Ibara.

Yoshii town, along with Bisei town, was merged with Ibara City in 2005, so now the North West area of Ibara is comprised of Yoshii town. The town is very calm in comparison to central Ibara, with lots of nature to enjoy.
