About

Kouzan-ji Temple is in the west part of Ibara City, in Takaya Town, and is said to have been founded by the famous Buddhist monk, Gyoki, in 731.

Many people come to Kouzan-ji Temple during their daily walks, often taking the time to come and pray.

There are also large beautiful trees in its garden, which itself has been designated a Natural Monument by Ibara City.
