About

Eishou-ji Temple is a temple hidden away in Nishiebara Town in Ibara City. The temple is known for being the family burial temple (Bodaiji) of Nasuno Yoichi, after he won the battle of Yashima.

Eishou-ji Temple also encases Sodegami Inari Daimyo Shrine, which is said to house a part of Yoichi’s sleeve (Sode), which was ripped off when he shot his famous arrow to win the battle in Yashima. The shrine is a popular place for students to come and pray for success in passing their exams.
