About
The Bisei Astronomical Observatory is located upon the top of the Kibi Plateau, and has an astonishing 360-degree observatory.
The observatory is one of the most technologically advanced in Japan, boasting a 101cm diameter telescope, which anyone can use, from amateur to enthusiast.
In addition to the telescope, the observatory offers a show called 4D2U, which takes you on a 3D guided tour through the solar system.
Experience the beautiful stars in the ‘Beautiful star’ town, and come and visit Bisei Astronomical Observatory.

From Ibara Station - 25 minute drive
By bus
Around 40 minutes from Ibara Station, on bus going to Kurohagi (黒萩) or Utodani (宇戸谷), alight at Kokumin Shinryojyo-Mae (国保診療所前), and walk around 20 minutes
